Our modern world moves at a dizzying pace.
I’m not the first person to lament about the overstimulation that comes with living in a society increasingly designed around online socialization and digital third places. And I certainly won’t be the last.
Hell, social psychologist Jonathan Haidt wrote an entire book on this feeling and the threat it poses to our psyches in The Anxious Generation. But unlike Haidt, we’re not here to debate whether overstimulation is a societal problem; we’ll leave that to the qualified professionals.
Instead, we’ll stay true to the mission of Take Me To Church by acknowledging that overstimulation is a feeling, and turn to the power of music to process it.
